Our Ministries
CHILDREN & YOUTH
“Let the little children come to me”
We invite kids of all ages to join us in worship. We currently do not offer a nursery, but provide worship bags for kids of all ages to help them engage in our family style worship.
We have two Sunday school classes at 10:00 a.m. for younger and older kids. We use Great Commission Publishing material and the Bible as our teaching guides
Our youth group (Middle and High School Students) meets the first and third Wednesday of each month for a time of fellowship, games, singing, and to deepen our understanding of God and his call upon our lives through Bible study.
We try to have a monthly time for our little ones to get together to have fun and to learn about the Grace of God for His children. Each summer our Youth and Adults host a 4 day VBS for the children of our church and the community.
Family Funday
Once a month we have a Sunday afternoon activity for youth of all ages. This includes anyone who is youthful at heart or even wants to sit on the sidelines and watch. We have pool parties, kickball games, scavenger hunts, boat rides, play board games and eat ice cream.
WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP
All ladies are invited to join us for a time of fellowship and refreshments followed by a Bible study. We have three different groups to be a part of that meet weekly, biweekly or monthly. The monthly meeting meets in the morning with the bi-monthly group meets in the evening. We also have a weekly group that meets on Wednesday morning.
Contact the church office to find this month’s meeting location church@firstarp.com or 863-635-3955.
MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Men’s Bible study takes place each Monday evening from 5:15- 6pm. We gather each week in the church fellowship hall to discuss a weekly reading. Over the past few years we have read through and discussed the following: Daniel, Redemption Accomplished and Applied, The Masculine Mandate, The Glory of Christ, The Attributes of God, God and Money, and the Book of Romans.
PURLS KNITTING GROUP
The Presbyterian Purls is a group of ladies who gather to knit sweaters for Guideposts Knit For Kids Program, a ministry of World Vision. They have knitted hundreds of sweaters that have clothed needy children all over the world.
Tuesday 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the youth building.
Anyone who knits or would like to learn is welcome. Yarn is provided.
